Will We Have Time?

Against the environmental guidelines, news emerged during the first half of this year that clash with recent international agreements, turning on the red light for the dangers related to global warming, taking into account that time is not our biggest friend in this matter.

In this scenario, it is worth emphasizing the drastic consequences of the war in Ukraine, which, as it spreads, harms the energy transition, and punishes forested areas in that country. Further west side of the world, we are faced with the US decision that delays the global climate agenda, with the United States being one of the main emitters of greenhouse gases.

However, the growing adoption of criteria linked to social, environmental and corporate governance, better known by the acronym ESG, signals a concern of the business sector by admitting such topics among the main factors for investment decision making, placing climate issues at levels high priority given the urgency of the topic.
