Food Waste

One of the biggest obstacles to the Sustainable Development, with no doubt is the problem related to using of the food that has been widely produced. Overcoming this obstacle becomes increasingly necessary and pre-waste campaigns, packaging innovations and adjustments between supply and demand are important actions in this regard.

The loss of food as well as its waste are not only offensive to issues such as infant mortality, nutrition, and hunger. It is a fact that consumes natural resources, increases the energy loss involved in transport and in the emission of greenhouse gases, in addition to the poor use of areas destined to farming and pasture.

We have a chance to contribute to the environment and socioeconomic issues by changing our attitude towards the resources involved in this issue. Such a change reduces poverty, helps to preserve biodiversity, increases forest areas, improves the climate, being one of the great objectives of today.
