Urban Rivers

The importance of water for our survival is unquestionable and every drop is precious. Our rivers are water bodies that offer us fresh water, more than suppliers of this good, they are guests of the life that exists in their riparian forests and of the fish that live in its course.

The mistreatment suffered by the rivers that pass through our cities quickly affects human life and in addition to the scarcity of water, such neglect also results in climatic problems experienced daily. Rivers treated as sewage deposits contribute to the spread of diseases, become villains of basic sanitation with strong environmental impacts.

Making our cities smart and developed requires looking at rivers with a mind focused on projects that provide the revitalization and use of its features. Thus, we must increase the use of our river waters for navigation and for the redesign of our cities, considering the need to be increasingly sustainable.
