COP26: Climatic changes

The world is looking forward to holding the biggest environmental event of the year to be held in november, in the city of Glasgow, United Kingdom. The Conference of the Parties (COP26) will deal with Climate Change, which has at its essence the Paris Agreement, focused on making efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5ºC in relation to pre-industrial levels.

Neutralizing CO2 emissions by the year 2050 is fundamental for the climate, and for this, the involvement of the private sector is considered essential to zero out the so-called “net zero”, starting to admit Sustainability as a new investment standard.

COP26 promotes the discussion in a more evolved form, however, we must highlight the need for progress in the regulation of the carbon market. However, countries that move towards an economy focused on the energy transition, developing technologies and means of production with low CO2 emissions, will manage to combine market success with the increase in the population’s standard of living.
