Expectations and Anxiety

Behaviors generated by the entire climate issue create distortions that arouse the interest of scholars, with emphasis on denialism and eco-anxiety, which refers to the other extreme, being a situation in which changes are expected, given the need to take Sustainability seriously.

As there is easier access to information related to the climate crisis, a wave of behavior spreads, radiating its consequences, imposing a logic of life with decisions affected by the environmental scenario, causing some people to question whether having children is viable, considering our planet a place that will not be able to shelter human life as it was decades ago.

In short, we are faced with a scenario of expectations that phenomena that knock on our door, such as heat islands and major floods, will diminish due to work that achieves concrete results, reducing the anguish and chronic fear of environmental disasters.
