Leave No One Behind

Environmental challenges have been installed into our daily lives in order to move us to assume responsible consumption, even if we are still harmed by climate problems, without forgetting the social impacts that are considered priorities for the continuity of life on Earth.

As we become less likely to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, we have faced with solutions that do not attack the cause and take advantage of the effects to boost financial gains, however, putting the least favored aside, as is the case of small states islanders, automatic victims of global warming.

It is with this situation that the stance of “leave no one behind” gains notoriety as it is perceived that part of the machinery responsible for environmental decisions is trying to double down on a denialist approach. Consequently, there is concern related to the difficulty of evolving the agenda to achieve results in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals.
