Mobility in Perspective

The understanding of the improvement of urban mobility as being a recent demand of society is due to the migration of the population from the countryside to the big cities. Today, 55% of the world’s population lives in urban areas, and could reach the mark of 68% in 2050.

In this framework, we see that the importance attributed to urban areas with respect to mobility must be taken to the countryside, considering the change in the age pyramid, which already assumes a different format in various locations around the world, a fact that leads to the development of a more comprehensive mechanism in scope of inclusion of the elderly, for example.

However, mobility put into perspective is not limited only to the urban context, considering that the needs of today’s life have their solutions closely linked to the quality of transport. With this in mind, taking into account health aspects, as well as IoT (internet of things) connectivity, manage to impose a sensible vision on the subject, brought about by the social dimension of Sustainability.
