In April, the National Braille Day is celebrated, a method that allows the blind to be part of the world in a social sphere that increases their interaction in order to make their participation relevant in the public debate. It is in this context that a portion of the population now has access to reading.
One of Its inventor, Louis Braille, deserves the recognition of having had a transforming action for almost 200 years, by having perfected techniques, opening the way for developments that are no less important today, such as inclusive design, the most important gateways to knowledge, crystallizing a revolution, promoting integration also through writing.
It is worth reflecting on the fact that the discourse of inclusion is sometimes used as a justification for sheltering guidelines that serve some and less serve those who really should be the target of measures that pluralize access by different segments of the population, in fact contributing to Sustainable Development.
