In the week in which World Environment Day is celebrated, issues related to the Amazon continue with colossal proportions, attracting the most influential eyes, not forgetting the debates related to environmental policies to be held during the 9th Summit of the Americas.
Issues such as the low-carbon economy, reduction of wildfires, mineral, and plant extractivism allied to the anthropological matters existing in the rain forest, make the area remain the focus of environmental matters. Not enough, we still have the discussion about the project to change the so-called Legal Amazon, an extremely important item for Brazil.
Therefore, the judicious use of space, as well as new techniques for food production, are shown to be a priority for Sustainable Development, imposing a dynamic challenge, while food safety begins to take space at the international level, along with the targets related to climate change.
