Consequently, the disconnection that society has from the terrestrial environment contributes to us looking with an air of superiority, given the advancement of social sciences and all the technological apparatus. Considering that, as we reap the laurels of victories in the struggles against nature, the Anthropocene reveals the consequences of the conquests and the means used, showing that it is nature that possesses us.
