With little time left until the end of the first quarter of this century, we can already mention some victories regarding Sustainable Development. However, while that future that was discussed in the not-so-distant past arrives, different ways of seeing global issues are causing conflicts in opinions, opening the way for apathetic positions from some organizations, such as the so-called “green hushing” by not disclosing their actions in this area.
In this context, we can see the discrepancy between the discourse on global goals and the reality of the level of decarbonization of the economy, which is far from being achieved, while heat waves and islands are damaging human health.
Thus, we can see an international negligence in the face of the possibility of not achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, with the debate almost fixed on issues of war, rejecting environmental issues of a climate nature in favor of a protocolary conformism repeated at each COP held.
